On the last day my Sister & her Fiancé were visiting us here in Mineola, they bought my girls some fun outside toys. One was this totally epic bubble pool & wand set. Annabelle has played with it everyday since.
Today, the light was just perfect coming through the trees and landing on our porch. She was flinging bubbles everywhere & they looked so pretty caught in the sun. I jumped out of my chair and grabbed my camera. Man, I love that thing… and her, especially when she gets in her own little world. Singing and twirling to her heart’s content.
She is at the perfect age for lifestyle photography. She doesn’t pose, and doesn’t give a hoot how she looks or what you’re thinking. Unless, of course, she says something super funny in a group of people and you start to laugh. Then her sensitive side kicks in hardcore and she gets so embarrassed, running off crying to her bedroom.
That may have happened last week. Poor girl.
I love when the wind catches her hair and pushes it past her face. I can see the shape of her little head and it throbs my heart back to her baby-hood. Her hairless head, and big blue eyes.
I want to go back & hold my babies when they were still babies! I guess all I can do now is continue to capture these moments as they happen, unposed and perfect.
