This session wasn’t on my Photographer Bucket List, but it should have been! I got a phone call from Ryan wanting to surprise his wife Tiffani with a Milk-Bath Maternity Session, while he was out of town for Valentines Day. (Kudos Ryan!) He told me that they have two other children, and this was their rainbow baby. I was so excited for Tiffani and gave him something to put in a card to give to her. I literally could NOT wait until he spilled the beans and told her what he planned!
After he gifted her the surprise, I called Tiffani and she was so over-the-moon excited Ryan had gone out of his way with such a special gift. We talked for a while about her loss and her current pregnancy with their Rainbow Baby. I quickly learned that she is a true Texas full of so much Joy!
We had some trouble scheduling her Milk-Bath session, which turned out to be a blessing for Tiffani. She told me that the loss of their last two sons was really hard on everyone in their family. It was really on her heart to do a Family Maternity Session, to include everyone. We quickly changed plans and found a date that worked while Ryan was home.
And the best part about this already-awesome story? When we met at the Mineola Nature Preserve, and started the session, the smallest sliver of rainbow was in the sky that afternoon. It was pretty incredible. By the end of our session, the Rainbow had grown. I’ve never seen a rainbow last an hour, and I honestly don’t think it was even raining earlier that day.
I am honored to document this special and sacred time in their lives. I know without a doubt, their Rainbow Baby will be well loved by everyone in their family!
