Fresh 48 turned into Baby Session seven weeks later.
When my client booked me for her daughter’s Birth + Fresh 48 session; neither of us knew exactly how things would actually turn out. We didn’t really know that her labor to baby time would be 2.5 seconds; and we left it open to her daughters Fresh48/Newborn session to when both our schedules allowed us the time. As it was, my clients had a major event happening at their business in Tyler; the weekend after she delivered her baby. In fact, it took seven weeks before we could schedule her baby’s session.
Thankfully before her daughter was born; My Client told me that she liked the idea of a ‘Baby Session’ as much as a Fresh 48, or Newborn Session. She was drawn to the idea of capturing her daughter making those tiny precious connections; with the rest of the family.
My clients reserved a room at the new Hampton Inn & Suites in Tyler for their Baby Session. The room was gorgeous, with serious amounts of crisp natural light and decorated with a neutral color pallet. She brought some fun details from her daughters ‘Welcome Baby’ party; which included tiny geometric flower pots, and a pretty copper fringe banner!
It was also her youngest son’s birthday that day, and my girls and I had picked out the perfect construction-lego set for him. The boys spent an hour putting everything together, which gave me time to capture these sweet images of Mom + Baby; baby by herself; and Dad + Baby.
Looking back; I am SO happy that our schedules kept us busy those first six weeks, allowing us the opportunity for this Baby Session. A similar set up is definitely going into the idea book for the future SGS studio!
